So, one of my best friends is getting married, and she's looking for a wedding song. Sort of.

She wants a song that kind of describes her relationship. They've both been through some really rough times, and she's always talking about how he really made her life worth living, and how much they've helped each other. They have a lot of fun together, yadda yadda. Typical love stuff. He was her first boyfriend, they've been together almost 3 years.

Thing is, neither of us really listen a lot of love songs, so, we need some good ones. Any kind of music...it's not for a slow dance or anything, and she likes everything from Rock to Broadway to Country, she likes literally anything.

So, anyone have a good song? It doesn't have to be slow or anything, they already have the first dance song picked out.

Still Lyrics
Music Artist: 98 Degrees | Album: 98 Degrees And Rising

Written by 98 Degrees, Dane DeViller, and Sean Hosein

Verse
Love, I see forever in your eyes
I can see heaven in your smile
And when I hold you close
I don't want to let go
Because deep in my soul I know, girl
You are the only light I see
Your love means everything to me
I promise that we'll never part
'Cause you'll always be here in my heart

Chorus
If the sun should refuse to rise
And the moon doesn't hang in the night
The tides won't change, seasons rearrange
When the world is through
I will still love you

Verse
Girl, you're like an angel from above
Sent here to shower me with your love
Hold me beneath your wings
Tell me all of the things
All the hopes and the dreams we can share
'Cause I'll be your shelter from the storm
I'll be the fire that keeps you warm
I'll be your light in the dark
'Cause you'll always be here in my heart

Chorus

Bridge
If anything could last forever
It's what I feel for you
(That's what I feel for you)
Oh, baby, you've touched my heart in ways
That words could never say
That's why I'll always love you

Chorus

Tanya Tucker - Two Sparrows In A Hurricane

From the album "Two Sparrows In A Hurricane"

She's fifteen and he's barely driving a car
She's got his ring and he's got the keys to her heart
It's just a matter of time
They'll spread their wings and fly

(CHORUS):
Like two sparrows in a hurricane
Trying to find their way
With a head full of dreams
And faith that can move anything
They've heard it's all uphill
But all they know is how they feel
The world says they'll never make it
Love says they will

There's a baby crying and one more on the way
There's a wolf at the door
With a big stack of bills they can't pay
The clouds are dark and the wind is high
But they can see the other side

(CHORUS)

She's eighty-three and he's barely driving a car
She's got his ring and he's got the keys to her heart
It's just a matter of time
They'll spread their wings and fly

(CHORUS)

This is kind of an obscure answer but, there is a song I've liked for a long time. It is by Firehouse (they were an 80's hairband) called I live my life for you. You can hear it on youtube. Its accoustic and pretty. Also Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have a song called It's your love.

I love these older songs-
Dan Hill-
" Sometimes when we touch"

Theres a few songs off the movie Knotting Hill that are really good too - "When you say nothing at all" is the best

Savage Garden has a few good ones - "Truly, Madly, Deeply"

I finally found someone ...by Bryan Adams & Barbara Streisand.
its a very slow soft love song, great for weddings.

I finally found someone
That knocks me off my feet
I finally found the one
That makes me feel complete
It started over coffee
We started out as friends
It's funny how from simple things
The best things begin
This time it's different
And it's all because of you
It's better then it's ever been
'Cause we can talk it through
My favorite line was
"Can I call you sometime"
It's all you had to say
To take my breath away
This is it, oh, I finally found someone
Someone to share my life
I finally found the one
to be with every night
'Cause whatever I do
It's just got to be you
My life has just begun
I finally found someone
Did I keep you waiting (I didn't mind)
I apologize (baby that's fine)
I would wait forever to just to know you were mine
You know, I love your hair (Are you sure it looks right?)
I love what you wear (Isn't it too tight?)
You're exceptional
I can't wait for the rest of my life
This is it, oh I finally found someone
Someone to share my life
I finally found the one
To be with every night
'Cause whatever I do
It's just got to be you
My life has just begun
I finally found someone
'Cause whatever I do
It's just got to be you
My life has just begun
I finally found someone

"Bless The Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts *it is the #1 wedding song*

I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

Now I'm just rolling home
Into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you.

This is an oldie but it's still fantastic, Jackie Wilson's 'Higher and Higher'.

These are the words:

Your love keeps lifting me higher
Than I've ever been lifted before
So keep it it up, quench my desire
And I'll be at your side forever more

[Chorus]
You know your love (your love keeps lifting me)
Keep on lifting (love keeps lifting me)
Higher (lifting me)
Higher and higher (higher)
I said your love (your love keeps lifting me)
Keep on (love keeps lifting me)
Lifting me (lifting me)
Higher and higher (higher)

Now once, I was down hearted
Disappointment was my closest friend
But then you came, and it soon departed
And you know he never showed his face again

[Chorus]

I'm so glad I've finally found you
You're that one in a million girls (or men)
And I whip, my loving arms around you
I can stand up and face the world (plus again, to make it rhyme)

[Chorus] rpt at will

how about "It's All For You" by Sister Hazel. It actually was pretty popular, but a lot of people don't remember it. Or there's always "I'll Be There For You" by the Rembrandts (the theme song from Friends.)
