How about Ashlynn and Brookelynn? I love the names your aunt got but if she wanted them to sound more alike then thats a good idea. Tell your aunt congrats on twins. I am the mother of 2 year old twins Izabella and Anna.

Honestly, Ashlynn and Abbie are overused. I think your Aunt should come up with unique names...not ones that everybody has. My daughters name is Genevive Roxanne...give them a name that nobody else has...its fun!

Love Ashlynn, but not too fond of Abbie. Either way it really doesnt matter what there names are as long as they are loved.

I think she could do better. Ashlynn is too close to Ashley (and ashes, which belong in an ash tray.) Abbie should be short for Abigail.
