Under $500, huh? Well, I'm not sure how much mine was, because I got it for my birthday. I've got a black and white Fender Squier Electric Guitar. I love it! Good luck, dude, and rock on!!!

Fender all the way man.. its what the all use in the studios allthough they dont like to admit it... classed as the old mans guitar but no other sound like it !

a Les Paul Jr by Gibson....it's greenday's Billie Joe's new guiter line & i've heard it rocks!!! im a soon-to-be bass player (Fender Squire p-Bass) & that the les paul would have been my choice if i stuck with guitar.

You can't go wrong with a Fender Strat or Telecaster.
