Do you realize how long that will take even with a high speed connection? Hours upon hours because your ISPs advertised speed is your DOWNLOAD speed not your upload speed, your upload speed is usually about 1/4 of that. Also most peoples email boxes are capped at 10 megs or so.
If you REALLY want to do this then first you have to use something like WinRAR to archive this file and break it into smaller blocks, usually 10-20 megs. Smaller blocks are better for internet transfer because of dropped connections etc. After that is done then you need an FTP server so someone can login and download, otherwise you will have to transfer all of those individual files one at a time. Once all the files are transferred the person on the other end would need to extract the archive to open it.
I run several FTP servers and this is by far the best way to manage large files like that, but you need the right resources.

You can use a program called WINZIP or WINRAR and break the movie up into "parts" and email them. Of coarse this is a bit tedious and would require you to send about 60 files to the person, assuming each file is about 10 megs.
Or you can use a program called SMART FTP and set up a "server" for your friend to connect to and download whatever you want them to.
Or you can use mIRC and setup a "room" and have that person ctcp the file from you.
I'd say your best bet would be SMART FTP. It's just easier.

Don't send via email - you will risk locking up your mail program, and wreak havok on the recipient's program also. Most mailboxes will reject an email of that size anyway.
You might want to look into uploading it to a site via ftp and sending the username / password to the recipient so that they can d/l it.

Easiest way is to set up an ftp server. If you are using Windows you can use Internet Information Service (IIS) to accomplish this task.

Use Bittorrent and create a torrent file, then upload it to tracker sites.
OR
Split it using winRAR, then your best way to do it is use RAPIDSHARE.com or gigasize.com. It would be a lot of split files.
Then slowly upload them.
