The next thing to look forward to is the remastered Original Series, with new effects, CGI and stuff. It's currently showing in USA, I will have to wait for DVD over here in the UK. And, of course Star Trek XI in 2008. There's also the 'Trek Life' cartoons on the official web site www.startrek.com, but I think they're rubbish, sadly.

Battlestar Galactica......quite a different, dare I say darker look at the human race in deep space, but a thinkers' show to be sure.
There are currently no new Star Trek shows in the works, (WHAT A SAD SAD DAY), but there are rumors of a movie or two. Just gossip for now, but the potential is certainly out there.

Firefly, a really cool western style sci fi with some great ideas eg: no sound in outer space. Most of the characters use traditonal weapons - revolvers, shotguns, rifles, combat knives. Lots of violence(but done tastefully).
