in these words
it mean streep will win
or streep will lise?
i don't get it

Commentary: It's interesting that Collette is the only acting nod from Sunshine. Seems like Breslin needs the SAG, or forget it. Otherwise, it's familiar territory, with Golden Globe favorites Renee, Annette, and Meryl filling out the category. Meryl's to lose.

Commentary: A perfectly lovely category with Maggie as the happy fifth slotter that'll likely miss the final Oscar nod in place of la Streep.

When the English says "Meryl's to lose." It means that she is the one most likely to win, and would only lose if she did something that offended the voters (like Russell Crowe did a couple of years ago.)

In the second quote, it means that Meryl Streep will get a nomination for an Oscar and Maggie Gyllenhal won't. In the Golden Globes, there are separate awards for drama and comedy, but at the Oscars, there is only Best Actress or Best Supporting Actress, so there are fewer nominations.

Streep could win or lose.

I really can't understand your question. I understand you are just beginning English, but keep working at learning English, okay? Thanks.
