How can you tell if a baby painted turtle are a boy or a gil?

Usually on a boy the front claw nails are longer, the tail will be longer and fatter, and their cloaca is located farther from the body. Check out photos at picolio.com.

Hmm, i dont know! I dont really know anything about turtles. Try getting a book on them.

give it a unisex name and be done , really the bottom at the tail.will have a long shell plate in the middle on the belly / bottom ,its a male if thats there it a female .
