By way of intros, I am a nuclear med tech with 33 years of experience in the field. I have a BA degree in mathematics and went through a two year OJT program, then took the ARRT exam .

Since you are so close to completing your degree in biomedical sciences, I think you would be wise to complete your degree first. That way, if you later decide to go in another direction, having a completed degree will be of value. If you are sure that you want to become a nuclear medical technologist and not a radiology technologist, there are a number of accredited programs that will allow you to obtain an associate degree or certificate in nuclear medical technology. I found five accredited programs in the state of Florida. Of course if you want to broaden your horizons, you could look for a program where you would become licensed in general radiology, perhaps with an additional certification in nuclear medicine.

In conclusion, if it were me, I would complete my degree in biomedical sciences, and then find the shortest program in nuclear medical technology. It is possible that you may even be able to use some of the courses you already completed for your bachelor's degree to count for your nuc med certification. Once you have graduated from the nuc med program, then you can sit for the ARRT or CNMT licensure.
