Well, my best friend is currently serving in Iraq and he wont be back until late January but i still plan on getting him a late Christmas present(even if i give it to him until he gets back). I cant send it to him by mail. But anywho...anybody has some good gift ideas for a 20 year old Corporal in the USMC?....he's the only complicated one to shop for on my list. Any ideas are welcomed.
Thanks!

AND nothing sexual, please. Him and i are friends and friends only...and its kind of disturbing for me, i know too much about that aspect of his life.

I feel for you. My husband is serving in Iraq right now too. But I mailed his gifts to him. (things he could use there). My hubby likes cigars so I am getting him a humidor for when he comes home. But if you are not sure what to get your friend, you can't go wrong with a gift card to a music store, clothing store, sports store, etc. Maybe you could take him out to dinner and just tell him thank you for serving his country. They need to hear that from all of us.

If he's a long distance friend, perhaps in your correspondance with him he's mentioned some things he's missed - it can be as simple as a hamburger at McDonalds! Send him a gift certificate for whatever restaurant was his favorite. Or if if he's not long distance, the best thing you can give him is your time. I am sure he's missed everyone. Give him an evening of what ever fun thing you did together as friends; get a group of his friends together for a night of ice skating and pizza or something light hearted and fun like that. Stuff is stuff, but friends and family are priceless. He'd probably rather have your friendship and support over any thing you could bring home from the mall.

The one thing all my friends want when they get back from Iraq of Afghan is beer. I know he's only 20 and it shouldnt be condoned, but thats what they all want. If you can get some for him, im sure he will love it.

If that doesn't work maybe try to get him some clothes, thats the other thing they lack when they get back. Their clothes are either out of style or don't fit.

Maybe that gives you some stepping stones or an idea for him.

Why can't you send him stuff? He should have an address! The best gift you can give is letters, cards, junk food NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I send stuff to soldiers that I have "adopted" almost every day. If you want to really help for Christmas get an address and send stuff from now until he gets home. Anything else will be shabby IF he IS your BESTFRIEND!

A sandwich. in simple terms kidding (kinda), incredibly the element a guy needs is to sense incredibly significant. in simple terms spend his birthday doing each little thing that he needs to do and in simple terms attempt to anticipate his desires (foodstuff, entertainment, etc.) and that would desire to make his day and pass common on your wallet. incredibly in simple terms latest your self as his present no count the social gathering, this might BLOW HIS suggestions. P.S. i do no longer comprehend how intimate you adult men are yet intercourse is often favourite, particularly if its all approximately him (his fantasies, desires, pleasures, etc.) P.S.S. given which you adult men are long distance, evaluate giving him a chit for this type of day whilst he gets back and sending him incredibly naughty p.c.. or a attractive action picture. i'm particular he misses you and might incredibly like that style of interest.

I think he would really appreciate a photo album of what christmas is like this year in your town or city. That way, he will know what he is fighting for!
