im using an ibook g4 12" sometimes when i go to click the mouse nothing happens, i haveto click it a few times until it actually works, i could just use the trackpad to click with but i would rather the mouse button work too

Curly is a nitwit.
Macs have problems with some external mice. It's mostly a case of trying them until you find one that works right.

Its more likely the CPU. The mouse on the ibook g4 is incredibly well built.

You might try getting a RAM upgrade. It will speed up performance significantly, and might get your problem fixed.
