An ego and an overdose of self justification. Humility is about being who you are and caring about yourself and others.
Ego and Pride are just about you.
Humility opens the door for gratitude, Pride and Ego slam it shut.

Your own self assuredness. Pride has everything to do with you and humility is about everyone else. With pride, you can feel good about yourself, judge yourself more correctly, and provide your own encouragement. Pride will make you feel good without the aid of others. I'm not saying humility isn't a bad thing, but it only works if you care what other people think.

Very strictly defined PRIDE is no virtue, and the word is so often misused in misunderstanding.
Humility teaches one how to be humble, and express it charitably, unlike a self absorbed attitude, IE: Prideful.
