The guy above me is wrong: a governor's warrant has nothing to do with carrying out the death sentence. He's thinking of a governor's "reprieve" to halt one from being carried out. A Gov's Warrant is usually a search or seizure warrant that he can enact which allows law enforcment to execute the search. This is usually done after a judge has turned them down in their request.
