Yes for the majority of the time. It does depend on what your dressing up with a "lie" or dressing down to bare bones truth.
Remember once something is said it can't be taken back.
In the long run, no gets hurt either.
Just my opinion.

Yes because even thought the naked truth hurts at least you can appreciate honesty more than being told a horrible lie.

Good question, I would have to say that it depends on the situation, if it hurts someone, I say tell the truth. Also try putting yourself in the other person's situation and see what you would do: tell the truth or lie.

An ugly truth...a truth you hate, and/or are disappointed/disgusted/unhappy/unimpressed, etc. with, always beats a gorgeous/sexy lie...a lie you love...and/or are pleased/happy/impressed with.
