I'm only in middle school, but I'll just remind you to keep a good journal and use the scientific method. That's all teachers look for. Also, try to choose an interesting topic. For example, an eighth grader one year did, "Are 8th grade boys more physically fit than 8th grade girls?"

what actually is the scope that you want? do you want on biology, physics, or chemistry? and what topic in each of these branches? eg, physics--light, waves, sound, heat, temperature, newton's laws, kinematics...
