You don't choose whether you have tubal ligation. Tubal ligation involves the embryo forming inside a woman's filopian tubes. Tying of your tubes, I believe, is what you mean. I take it, by you're believing that your having kids is "meant to be because you have 7", that you don't want to stop. Is it the best thing for your body and financial situation (ie: can you take care of this "blessed event")? If there is concern, perhaps you should tie your tubes and have no more. Talk it over with your husband first. Then speak with doc. FYI: The older you get, the more health risks can develop in the baby and you. Also, regardless of fertility pills, a woman is more subject to multiple births.

Tubal ligations are a great form of birth control. The female equivalent of a vasectomy. I chose the latter, given I had no tubes to tie. :)

Txlady below is confusing a tubal ligation with a tubal pregnancy - a form of ectopic pregnancy. Ligation means "to tie". Tubal ligations are the tying of the fallopian tubes.

It's wonderful that you feel your children are gifts from God, because they are. But...I am sure that he will not condem you for saying that's enough and having your tubes tied. It's only a decision that you and your husband can make. If you feel tube tying or birth control of any type is not right, then don't do it and keep popping out those kids. You are married aren't you? I hope you have not had 7 children and expect the government and us, the taxpayers, to provide for them.
