Use a basket. You can do several things.
One would be to wrap each bottle individually. You can use soft tissue paper, which not comes in a variety of prints and colors, not just white. This is a little easier to work with on odd shapes. Add a ribbon and curl it on each one and your done.

You can not wrap the bottles at all but get clear basket wrap and tie it up on the top of the basket and add a big holiday bow. Add cute little inexpensive touches to the basket, a small can of nuts or what ever your friend likes to snack on to go along with the beer, inexpensive beer mugs, chili mix or even a great beer type movie!

And baskets don't have to be foo foo like either. You can use a plain bushel basket type. But you'll find lots to chose from, all sizes, shapes and colors.

Good luck!

wrap each bottle in a sheet of tissue paper rather than wrapping paper, a mixture of different colour sheets would be good or pick a few colours and co-ordinate the whole package. Then put them all in a nice box, you know the ones you get for putting presents in

World market sells beer individually. I know they have cardboard wine holders; they may have them for beer also. Or, you could wrap them individually in paper and box 'em.
