when i got home and hooked it up it will still only allow me to view certain web sites, is there any way to get full access

What!
They sold you a computer without wiping the hard drive first! lol
Take it back, and get the IT bloke to wipe it, and reinstall windows.
But they will be in breach of the Windows site licence if they do not include you!

There is some type of software on the computer that is preventing you from accessing all websites. It could also be settings on the computer. One of the best ways to get rid of all the extra, unneeded software on the computer, is to do a clean install of the operating system, and wipe out everything on the hard drive. This will allow you to start fresh and only add what you want.

It also depends on what browser you are using, if you are using Firefox, the setting is probably preventing you from viewing certan sites!

i would nuke the harddrive and put a new operating system on it myself ...if ur administrator then go to add remove programs and see if theres some security or firewall on it and nuke those ... put ur own freeware one on there ..
