If the bloke, and I will assume it is a bloke, says this, then it is true he is swallowing his pride. He is taking his pride, swallowing it and carrying it around with him. He has puffed up his belly with his pride when he swallowed it. He should have flushed the dam thing down the toilet. Where it belongs. If he had not pride he would acknowledge that all people have strenghts and weaknesses. He wouldn't say a dam fool thing like that. Let me recommend to you something. Flush this relationship with this fool down the toilet where his pride should have been flushed down in the first place. Find someone decent and leave both him and his pride where they both belong. In the garbage can of history.

tell him to go get his pride back, but remind him that it may be hard . seeing how he feels about you, to be able to get it back after beeing dumped by you as you walk out the door
