When I was only eight years old, I hung all of our long brown stockings (8 stockings) in our doorway. We were so poor and I knew Mom and Dad had no money . I truely hoped there was a Santa. So I continued to believe, he would come. Christmas morning I ran to the stockings to see what was in there and they were still empty. So Christmas Day, I let them hang there, thinking Santa would come on Christmas Night. Early the next morning, I rushed back to the same stockings and they were still empty. Nothing in there, No oranges, apples or candy canes. So I quietly took all the stockings down, before the other kids could see them empty . That is when I realized there was no Santa. I was next to the oldest, and tried to help all my little sisters and brothers. I did not want them to be disappointed too.

Actually I shot Santa's reign deer while hunting. The tooth fairy I accidentally bit in half while she was taking out a tooth. And the Easter bunny I hit with my car. It was an accident!

No, when I learned there was no Santa or the Easter bunny I wasn't that surprised because I had my doubts. When I learned the tooth fairy wasn't real I didn't care because by then I wasn't losing anymore teeth.
