the way he's carrying on he will be more well known for being the Michelin man not for the Michelin stars

Individual chefs are not awarded Michillin stars, their restaurants might be. You will have to check the latest Michillin Guide to find out. Sometimes Gourmet Magazine or Food and Wine will reference them in the publications.
