You have a point, I'm not racism, but I am white.
The reason you'll find that magazines are full of toothpick thin white girls are because.... That's the whole white girl stereotype.
You can't read a single fashion magazine without seeing excruciatingly thin white girls, i find it sick, but its all the trend for white celerities - Posh Spice, Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton - they've made being thin a sterotype.
Now you want to know why there are no "black" girls in some magazines, is most probably becuase they wont starve themselves just to get a picture in theese skanky magazines.
Magazines seem to be going through a "Anorexic girl" craving, and it's vry rare that you'll find a "Black" girl starving herself to death to supposedly "look good".
If you look at.. Beyoncé - She received a Hell've alot criticism about her ' Dé Javú ' video, becuase she has curves.
Overall. "Black girls" are 99% of the time proud of their curves.
"White girls" are insecure about 'looking good' and end up starving themselves to death just to get a picture published...
Wow... white people now kinda gross me out -_-

I think there are a even amount of every race in magazines, maybe not every magazine is equal but I think most are and just beause in a particular magizine there are more white girls than black doesn't mean they were chosen becuase they are white, they might of just a paricular facail or body type that the magizine was looking for. I believe that the modeling job should go to the best person for the job weather there is 100% white women as there models , 100% black women or 100% asian women as there models.

There are lots of urban magazines that feature curvy models, black and non-black. King Magazine, Maxim, Jet, XXL, The Source, Smooth, Blackmen SSX, etc etc.
As far as fashion magazines though, you are right, most of those women are really skinny, and for the most part, don't have many black women in them, but there are magazines like Vibe who feature ads for Baby Phat, Rocawear, Southpole, and other urban lines, where the models are still really skinny, but they are more diverse as far as the ethnictity of their models.

That's a little racist. There are more magazines than just Cosmopolitan and Jane, etc. In those magazines, of course there's going to be skinny white, hispanic, european, and black girls. It's called being a model and not everyone looks like that.

LOL - i do not understand some thing about fashion. Blue denims and a baggy T-blouse is my favourite outfits. I do like fantastic matches even with the truth that. My famous is a gloomy gray double breasted one. Which reminds me I actually have some matches that want to pass to the cleaners. IF I did care about fashion the topic will be swim tournament modeling, no male fashions. lady actually. LOL

I'm white, but I totally agree...you black ladies are absolutely stunning! I also agree that the toothpicks in most magazines are not as pretty as they could be because they seem to be barely alive. Are you a model? Maybe you could become one if you aren't and show the modelling industry how it's done!

u tend to be very racist toward white people!! maybe thats all ur looking for them to put into magazines so u can diss them!! i have seen many black people and asians in american eagle magazines so not sure where u get ur facts from but they r'nt sure!! theres nothing wrong with skinny people and if u ask me they look way better in tight fittin shirts than big FAT rolls haggin out the side!! but whatevs everyone believes differently!! but u certainly have NO rite dissing people on here...thats not what this is for!!

..**** all u people saying black girls are fat..what the hell!?! grow up!! and i call it racism that they don't put dark girls on their covers..
they think the darker you are the more "dirty" u look and that less people will buy their magazine ..u know that really degrades us black girls..having curves does not mean u are fat..its called having SHAPE!! just because u aren't skinny doesnt mean u aren't pretty!
