I just set up a small network with my desktop PC and a notebook at home using a wireless router, the desktop PC is connected to the router, and the other one, wireless. Everything is running smoothly except for one thing: the PC doesn't show up in the workgroup, I can access it by typing the name of the PC in the explorer address bar ( \\computername ). I can copy and read the files in it, so I just wanted to know what should I do to make the computer appear in the workgroup.

you need to make sure that all of the computers on your LAN have the same "Workgroup" name. Check the Network Identification of both systems. The SSID on the wireless card is not the same as the Workgroup setting.
