And here's why:
Randy Moss wears the number 18 on a black jersey. Gang members love the numbers 13, 14 and 18. 13 is for the mexican mafia, or Sorenos, and 14 a northern ca mexican gang called Nortes.
18 is for an El Salvadoran Gang, connected with the Mexican Mafia. Popularly known as 18th street.
So his jersey sells, partially because he is a star, partially because all the little gang members want their special numbers on a black jersey.
Side note: Tim Brown's jersey used to sell really well. Also a Raiders Jersey, but he was number 81. Little gang members would turn the jersey inside out before they'd go get in their little slap fights, so the number would appear to be an 18.
