I'm totally demotivated and just plain lazy, but I want a clean bedroom!

I know I'm so lazy too I just sit in bed with my laptop and wish for a clean room! Something that helps me is that I just sit on my bed with my laptop and open notepad. Then I just look around my room and make a list of what is misplaced and where it needs to go. That way when I actually get out of bed I won't have to do any thinking, I will have already decided where I was going to put everything.

Example:
1.Put hangers in closet
2.Put PJs under the pillow
3.Put empty waterbottles in recycling
4.Put books back on the bookshelf
5.Put summer clothes back into storage
....

First, get some light going on in your room...turn on all the l ights and lamps so you can see everything. Then just start by sorting things into piles and stacks of "similar things"..for example, Clothes, books, papers, shoes, trash. The go to each catagory and do the obvioous, put shoes in the closet ( dont worry about putting them all neatly just get them in there) then put books in shelves or in drawers, and throw away the trash. Once you have everything pretty much catagorized, make the bed, take dishes or other misplaced items to the appropriate rooms they belong in and you will already be able to see more organization. Once you've done all this, you can SEE what needs to be done and its not so overwhelming....you might even need afew days to take on a big project like this if you're VERY messy. Good luck...hope I helped!

Try setting a timer for 15 minutes and see what you can get done in that time, you'll be amazed. Then spend 15 minutes at a time over the next few days and it will be done before you know it. Keep your bedroom in order by doing 15 minutes a day. Flylady taught me this, she's great.
