Obviously the y axis.

Wait a minute! You have a problem here. Are these co-ordinates rectangular or polar? If they are rectangular, then the point lies on the y-axis. If they are polar, then you have a directed distance of 0 at an angle of pi radians. This makes the point equal to the origin, (0,0), and, technically, one could argue that this point lies on both axes and in all quadrants.

It is on the y axis.

The point (0, *pi*) means that x = 0 and y = *pi*, hence on the y axis.

It's on the y-axis.
The x-coordinate (0) means that you didn't move left or right, so you're still at the origin (0,0).
The y-coordinate (pi) means that you move 3.14... up from the origin, so you are on the y-axis.
