100% Acetone polish remover. I use Perfection Maximum strength, $3-$5 at most drugstores. Make sure you apply apply a base coat before applying any colored polish. There are a variety of polish removing pens to get small specks, a q-tip works just as well as the pens.

If you polish your nails in layers of polish then it will be harder to take off. Buy a good quality polish remover and use real cotton balls not the cheap kind. Also there is a bottle sold with a sponge inside soaked with polish remover and you put your finger inside and twist around to get the polish off. I think it made by sally hanson(?). sells in most drugs stores.

Use a fresh side of a cotton pad saturated with nail polish remover. A cotton pad is neater than a cotton ball (no loose fibers).

Nail polish remover with acetone works best but is more drying to the nails.

Generic and store brands work as well as name brands.

you take a cotton ball or pad, soak it in polish remover, then let it sit on the nail for a few seconds, then wipe it off toward the tip

Well, use a good nail polish remover, and use a cotton ball to do so, do not use a napkin coz it won't do the work ;)..

It's easiest to take it off after a hot shower. Or you can just soak your hands in warm water for a few minutes.
