Sidney Crosby is my FAVORITE player in the NHL!! I think he is the most amazing hockey player in the world and extremely HOT!! I was wondering what anyone else thought of him.

As a Pens fan since their inception into the NHL, Crosby is by far the second best player I've seen wearing a Penguins sweater (beside Mario, of course). Sidney is proving to be an excellent all-around hockey player, both offensively and defensively. He has worked diligently on his defensive responsibilities, and this has been demonstrated in his play this year. His coach has just said that he's the top player in the league now....after a great rookie year, he is putting together another top-notch season. I believe he is one of the super stars of the league, and barring any serious injuries, will probably be inducted into Hockey's Hall-Of-Fame after he retires. He's only in his second year - wait a few more years to see what he'll do. He is extremely popular with the fans (note the all-star voting), and having met him, I can honestly say he is an extremely down-to-earth human being - no oversized ego, not condescending, just a 19 yr old who is mature beyond his years. He is a very hard worker who isn't satisfied with just being avrage...he's willing to work hard for his successes. He deals with the press excellently. His critics say he's a diver, soft, a whiner.......he even admitted that he said some things to the on-ice officials last year that should have remained unspoken....he has been very quiet with them this season so far. When you see natural talent like his, some people are prone to magnify his so-called imperfections.....but I would think if those fans had an opportunity to get him on their team, they'd quickly accept this talented player.
You should have seen the play he made tonight against the Islanders that resulted in R. Malone's third goal of the game....crosses the blue line, puts the puck between his legs, takes a checks and sheds off the defenseman, passes the puck to himself behind his back off the boards, regains possession, and feeds Malone standing in the left slot for an easy goal...plays like that aren't made by simply anyone.

Sidney Crosby is getting a lot of people saying that he is the next Gretzky, which is possible. Since Gretzky retired in 1999, there has been no other player come into the league that can be said that he might challenge Gretz's records until Crosby. In 2 seasons, Crosby has recorded back to back 100 point seasons as a teenager, becoming the youngest player ever to win the Art Ross Trophy as scoring champion and then the Hart Trophy as MVP last season at the age of 19. The one knock on the kid is that he tends to whine when calls don't go his way, and he also tries to sell calls to refs a lot. In his defence, those are things that you're taught to do in the Junior leagues, and Sid is just 20, so there is time for him mature in that regard. If he manages to stay healthy throughout his career, Sid could very well challenge Gretzky's scoring records. And with the wealth of other young talent surrounding him in Pittsburgh (Evgeni Malkin, Jordan Staal, Marc-Andre Fleury to just name a few, and Angelo Esposito coming up soon), they could very well challenge for the Stanley Cup for many years to come, provided the Pens are able to keep the core of that team under the new cap system.

I think Sidney Crosby is good player. I wish i could see him more then four games a year. Because the schedule isn't set up the right way. The schedule needs to be like baseball.

Sid the Kid is the future of hockey, hes only 19 years old and already starting to look the way he did in his junior years. Sidney Crosby is a great young talented player. I'm going tomorrow night in Montreal to watch the game between the Habs vs the Pens.

He is pretty cute. He's the future of the pens, which right now isn't lookin too good. If Isle of Capri doesn't get a slots license I'm sure the pens will be leaving Pittsburgh. It sucks, but hey the steelers, and the pirates got brand spankin new stadiums, why shouldn't the pens?? It'd be awesome to see them turn the team around and become a contendor for the stanley cup, or hell even win it, god knows they haven't done that in almost 15 years!!

I think he is a good player overall and is still getting better. but sometimes he is a little annoying. I mean u see the dude everywhere. But he is very dedicated to hockey and won't stop till he meets his personal standards. As for the cute part...i think he's ok...just as long he has a good personality he's all good

He will be awesome. A much different player than Gretzky and Lemieux. He is only 19 and will be alot of fun to watch. Hey Blue Jackets if you think Crosby sucks you have been watching Fedorov to long. Give me a break...

Crosby's a great player. He's smart, he's got good hands, and overall, he's just plain great....but I find him annoying. He has amazed me more than once throughout his career but as amazing as he can be, he won't ever be my favourite player.

crosby is the best player in the nhl.. hes 19 is going to lead in scoring and he has the talent to win a game by himself... after hsi career is over he will one of the best of all time LETS GO PENS
