To me, music is good if there is a great band and a great lead singer, with great lyrics. I do acknowledge that some rappers are very good, because that does take talent and there are some country singers that are good. I think music is instruments and singing and lyrics. Maybe you think that rhyming against a synthetic beat is talent, or whining to a very simple guitar riff is talent. Please tell me why you like the type of music you do.

If it makes me move, or if it gets an emotional reaction from me. I love music in general, so I have trouble saying that a band isn't good if they have positive points (even if they aren't wonderful).

My favorite part of music are the riffs and solos from any instrument. That's why I mainly listen to metal, rock, and jazz. Also, if the song creates some sort of atmosphere, that's a major plus.

I don't like rap it takes almost no talent to me...rock and alternative is my favorite it's all i have in my itunes! i mostly don't like country and im not saying that i think it doesnt take talent just its not my thing. i decide if i like a song by the instrumentals and the quality of the singer's voice and if its just a catchy beat my favorite band is AFI.

I play bass in a rock band(sometI'mes lead vocals) I write 90% of our music, and im pretty good at it. It is not all that easy as you think to make music. It is up to the individual on what they like. I like some of this new rock where they scream they heads off. I really like the classic rock bands like Journey, Inxs, and U2.

In my opinion, If certain music feels good and makes you actually listen and relax. no matter the genre or artist. I will be good for you at least. Personal taste is everything.
