Has anyone dated a momma's boy? My bf and me broke up b/c his mom doesn't like me..the reason.. I go to law school, am independent and can take care of myself. She wants somebody that's like her..ignorant (sorry but true), subservient housewife. She raised him to believe that that's the ONLY way you can have a happy marriage..backward backward people!!! Ilove him and he says he loves me too, but we broke up b/c his family's oppinion seems to matter more than our love!! I'm TIRED of trying to change his attitude, he believes it will never work out. I broke up with him a few weeks ago but can't help but think that we were meant for each other and we can be happy together. I love him but I'm sooo mad at him at the same time..What a jerk!! Do u think he might change his mind..Ever??? Has anyone been in that situation???

If he is such a jerk and you broke up why are you still thinking about marrying him? Move on.

he will grow up 1 day but to certain angles and degrees.

since you and him is the past, why not mend your broken heart for a year or more and look for a new bf after that?

treat the past as an experience but do not dwell too much on it.

and good luck to you!

If this boy has this attitude and has been taught this all his life, then that is what he believes. Two choices: either learn to live with it or move on. You are not going to change him.

yes i know how you feel...if he thinks his family is more important then thats his loss...make it clear to him how you feel if he still thinks it wont work just cuz what they want then there is someone out there that will appreciate what you have to offer

Drop your case..... isn't that what they tell you to do in law school when the case has no merit?

He had to allow it to happen...accept that and move on....

Now that you know that he is a mama's boy, you have better justification to leave him.
