someone told me i'm not too pretty but i'm exotic, is this like an insult or something?

and for the record, i am in no way shape or form a slut, and this person suggested i be a model, but i dont get how i can be without being pretty

Exotic usually means that you don't look like a lot of other girls. Ashlee Simpson is pretty (post nose-job), but she looks like every other girl walking around in the U.S. Exotic means that you have something different and special about you. I'd definitely consider it a compliment!
On the other hand, if they did say that you're "not too pretty" you should smack them! xD

Hard to say, I don't know the person who said it. However, lots of women are pretty. Pretty is ordinary. Exotic is just that, something unique and special. Looking at it that way, I'd say it was a compliment.

Hmmm....I don't know, it all depends what they meant. I always thought exotic meant more volumptuous, like those call girls on the 900 numbers, or an exotic dancer. You know what they do, don't you? Anyway, exotic to me would mean more volumptuous, boobs hanging out, very sexy dressed. But, in your case it might mean more like you have a different look than others. Kind of like an exotic taste? Its hard to explain!! I don't think it was an insult though.

I don't think that its an insult, in truth it maybe a compliment, it all depends on how you take it. In my opinion exotic is more refreshing and somewhat tempting whereas pretty is the same as cute. Its similar to their being a difference between a woman being sensuous or sexy, I find sensuous more appealing.

when guys say a girl is pretty or cute, we mean that she actually looks good and we respect her for that. When guys say a girl is hot (or i guess exotic), we mean that the girl is hot and sexy but like a hore. Thats why you always here guys refer to actresses or models as hot but our girlfriends as pretty or beautiful

exotic means different than the normal, like if u have green eyes and dark hair with olive skin. like...adriana lima looks exotic
