9 is definately too young to be wearing makeup. Think of all the reprecussions... acne for one. Just let her be natural. Little girls are in such a hurry to " grow up". Even the girls on the Disney Channel wear loads of makeup. Maybe for a special occasion like a school dance she can wear a little tinted lipgloss but other than that. CHAPSTICK!!!

Definitely not a good idea, the only thing she should wear on her face is sunblock and chapstick. 9 years old is waaaaay too young for any makeup, subtle or not.

ABSOLUTELY YES. what are you doing letting a 9 year old look like a teenager, you are simply asking for trouble. The reason for makeup is to attract the opposite sex (in basic terms) why would a 9 year old want to do that???

yes. wait a few more years before you clog your pores and ruin your beautiful, fresh, clear skin. there's no need for makeup. and if you're going to start (it better be no earlier than thirteen), don't overdo it. lip gloss is ok. nail polish (i know, not really makeup) is good. if anything else i say just eyeliner or subtle, natural colored eyeshadow. and NOT TOO MUCH!! it takes some experience of just learning to apply makeup, so don't try to do too much from the start, k? you don't want to look like a child prostitute. or a clown. just wait a little longer.

If she's wearing it for everyday where, then yes its to young. But if your using it for permorances like stage makeup then no. If you start wearing makeup that young then your gonna want to do other things when your to young.

I think so. Maybe lip gloss. a nine year old is still in elementary school. Subtle makeup in my opinon shouldn't be worn until at least 12/13

I think it is, unless it is a really special occasion. My 12 year old still only wears make-up on special occasions like a band concert she is playing in or Christmas party or a special Mom/Daughter day of shopping at the mall.
