You'll want to get her a cage that has bars, not a tank. This will keep the air flowing through the cage and will keep your hamster healthy. Use the soft bedding called Carefresh from Petsmart. It doesn't create as much dust as the pine bedding. Any food should work, but make sure that you get some wooden toys for them to chew on. Their teeth will grow quite fast and this prevents them from having such long teeth. And of course, the classic hamster wheel is a must. This keeps them running, preventing them from having health issues later on. If you really want to spoil her, there is special bedding that is soft where she can sleep.

Make sure her cage has lots of ways to exercise such as wheels and tunnels. Make sure her cage is large and if it does have tunnels make sure she can't get stuck!! (Hamsters can squeeze but not THAT much) Try getting bigger food pellets and vaitims. Use a wood shaving litter or a soft wood shaving. Not a cotton litter (it's impossible to not smell the poop)!! Get bigger wood blocks and make sure her watter bottle isn't too close to the ground. Make sure her cage dosen't have bars just because if she's larger . . . she can break a leg easier climbing!!

They're pretty easy, just keep fresh food and water available. Keep the cage clean, and have a hampster ball, or wheel so it can exercise and stay healthy. Good luck

-Lots of TLC... if ur hamster is new, make sure it gets used to ur smell so it will be more friendly.
-give it stuff to chew on and keep busy. toilet paper rolls are good.
- fresh food and water.
-decent cage (thats clean ofcourse)
with some comfortable bedding.
---if it gets bored it might pull out its hair, so def. something to keep it busy!
- also treats are great!
