yeah we put it up early december and keep it up till late january because we're lazy

I usually keep my tree until the end of the first week in January.

In my family, we keep it till the sixth of January, we celebrate "Dia de los tres reyes magos" -Three wise men day- the kids receive even more gifts. Which is always on the sixth, after that we take the tree down and the holidays are officially over. That's how long I keep the Christmas tree up, but you could keep it up as long or as short as you want to. It is your personal preference.

I have a fake tree so I keep it as long as I want...but usually I take it down around the 2nd or 3rd or January... which is probably a good time for your "live" tree to go down as well

Given that my Christmas Tree is an Artificial Tree (because I am allergic to the Pines) ... I have kept the same tree now for a couple of decades and reuse it every year!

I usually get rid of it either Christmas day or the day after. I'm allergic to it, and it drives me insane.
