is xbox 360 worth the price just to get gears of war?

is it better to get a bunch of games for the wii at an affordable price or get a few highly expensive games for the xbox 360?

i would normaly say the ps3 but since you want the wii or the 360, i recomend the 360. sure the wii looks fun, but the controlers use batteries, the graphics are ugly, and it has ugly games.

Get the 360 Gears of War is awesome plus Halo 3 comes out next year and Saints Row is another good game. To the person saying the 360 is huge the PS3 makes the 360 look small. Plus the 360 plays DVDs and the WII does not.

Well neither is really worth the price in my opinion. I haven't played Wii yet but 360's games pretty much sucked. I bought a 360 a few months back with a handful of games. Haven't played much since. I preferred playing the games the original Xbox had, they seemed a bit better. I think 360 is overrated and much too much expensive. It's more like a computer system than a real video game system. Do you think playing one game is worth paying a few hundred for a system? You'll get sick of it soon. Spend your money on something more worthwhile. Why don't you just play the game with someone who has it.

definitly not! I like xbox also because it has 2 good games that i cant get on ps2/3 (the games are gears of war and halo but you dont see me getting xbox trust me its not worth it.)

I like plastation systems because their more safisticated in the sense that its based on true gamers, when xbox has only bin around for awhile (4+ years). Which means that thier games arnt that great but you have to remember were talking about microsoft a company that is one of the biggest in the world, so to say they dont know what thier doing would be a lie but to say they havnt bin in the gaming buisneuss for a long time would be true. Another thing is that i dont like the xbox phisically, hey look at that big thing and you know whats worst is the xbox 360, come on, it isnt only big but it freezes on you. NO gamer wants that! The only thing i like about the xbox is that it has halo, which is a great game but soon ps2(3) will buy it over and then xbox will rot. Now i know im sounding mean and critical but what can i say?

my brother got the 360 and loves gears of war, i guess its supposedly better than halo2.....but one of my best friends got the wii and said its really good too. especially the fitness program. if you only want a few games that only go for 360, get that. the wii is a lot cheaper though

yea because if you buy it, then you can buy other cool and exiting games for it. Also because it has excellent graphics and fast Internet services. You can buy Halo 3 when it comes out ONLY FOR XBOX.

Tip- If you buy one, try to get a warranty from a store just in case it crashes(preferable Best Buy)!

It's worth, trust me GEARS OF WAR is crazy. It'll blow you away.
I recommend you buy the XBOX 360 just for GEARS OF WAR.
