i just bought 1976 cj360t from some guy
it's a kick start and the owner showed me how to start and ride and everything
it started fine when he showed me and i started up and it started up fine.
I droped the bike once(barely and softly) but it had sissy bar so engine did not contact the ground. i started right after i droped just to make sure and it started right away.
after the owener was gone i went to eat and came back to ride it, it would not start!
i tried and tried even push start with my friends and still would not start!
it tries to start but the throttle would not open up! trottle cable it fine but it's not revving up
took the spark plugs out to just check, and left spark plug was kinda wet. i cleaned it up and tried to start it up again, and still would not work....
it's an old bike but the owner said it never done that before...
WHAT DO I DO!!!
HELP ME!!!!
Thank you

It sounds like the throttle is stuck in the close or idle position. Check the linkage again. When you turn the throttle all the way back can you see the little flipper on the carb turning? If it is turning then maybe the float is stuck. Try tapping on the bottom of the carb with the handle of a screw driver. If you still can't get it running post what you have tried and I will try and help you further....

Oh, and I know it sound dumb but I have done it myself. Be sure the key and the KILL SWITCH is in the on / run position and the fuel is on.

You just bought the bike and it's new to you. Did you remember to turn on the choke? Also a common mistake by all bikers, is the petcock (fuel tank on/off valve) in the on position and is there enough gas in the tank? (it may need to be turned to reserve).
Before trying to start it, prime and clean the cylinders. With the key off, no choke and throttle wide open - give it 4-5 quick hard kicks on the kick start. Then turn on the key and choke and try to start it. You might have to apply a little throttle

Did you bump the kill switch on the handlebars? Some bikes have a switch that kills the engine. It is red and slides side to side or may be a rocker switch. I have had some bikes that had a safety switch built into the kickstand that malfunctioned and wouldn't let it start unless the kickstand was up.
