i don't know about other mp3 players but here's the scoop all about iPods:

i know about the Zunes tho. there's about the same size as the iPod Video but the screen is alot bigger and i think prices start at $249

All I can answer is it cost $2.49 for a ring tone on my Cingular Nokia cell phone.
