it made me sad that this girl I have a crush on is not coming back next semster.
It made me happy that this girl I have a crush on gave me a hug before she left.

Happy: As always, my wife and two kids made me happy, but as an added bonus, my 5 year old's best friend asked if my leg was feelign better (I had injured it last week) and that was so sweet. I was also happy that my leg is in fact doing better after fighting off a nasty infection.
Sad: My two year old woke up with a runny nose (the day before her birthday and special trip) but she seems better now. The other thing that made me sad was the previous question I just answered about which game system was "funest" Declining mental acuity among the American (I suppose) people makes me VERY sad.

I was feeling pretty lukewarm about the day until I read this post- now I thought about what made me happy- the fact that I can type this message out in my warm home on a full stomach and good health- I am so lucky to have my parents and brothers and fiance love me unconditionally. What makes me sad is that there are so many people who cannot know what I am talking about when I say I have a full stomach and unconditional love- my heart goes out to them. God bless them.

It made me sad that I took my car for an oil change and ended up spending over $500.00 extra for new tires. It made me happy that I got a free calendar with it...wow!
