I think he'd make an excellent candidate. As far as his political accomplishments, I think people should do a little more research before they make a decision based on hearsay. As a person, I think he's very personable and well spoken. He's intelligent and works well with the Republicans. He's not afraid to take a stand on controversial issues and challenge big business. In addition, he's extremely knowledgeable about foreign affairs and has contributed greatly to human rights. I think he has the courage, to make a much needed change in government policy. In my opinion, he'd be a breath of fresh air. Something desperately needed in the White House.
Before anyone gets too excited, the man has not even decided to run. He's not as stupid and inexperienced as some would suggest. I'm sure the man is smart enough to weigh his options and make a wise decision. People should pay more attention to the opposing party? Nobodies talking much about the about those potential candidates!

Hmm. Good question. I agree with most respondants that he is not very experienced and he's all flash, no substance. Unfortunately, this is the case with all liberals. They talk the talk but do not walk the walk. Take for example a new book coming out, written BY a liberal, about who gives the most to charity. The author was disgusted with the 10 year study that he did. He found out that conservatives donated to charity in for greater numbers and $ amounts than liberals, who spout that we should do more for the poor and unfortunate. Barack Obama is the epitome of this ideology of hatred towards humankind and keeping people down.

As I said before, Obama is just a scapegoat to get more votes for the opposing party. A vote for Obama is a guarantee win for the next republican candidate.....

At this point in time, he is all style and no substance. He has some work to do before he can be seriously considered as presidential material. I have absolutely nothing against the man...I just don't know enough about him to have anything positive for him

He's a runner. He ran for the Senate in Illinois. He ran on veterans issues. When veterans contact him he runs away. He ran down to Tennessee and has probably spent more time there than in Illinois. Now he is running for President.

I agree with Dan , Obama does not have the experience yet although he has great charisma, but, charisma alone wont cut it. In addition He's just a freshmen in Congress.

No doubt he has intelligence and style but he lacks the experience needed for the presidency. He will surely get there some day but not this coming election.

He's got a great career ahead of him. He's articulate, classy, and just what America needs more of in the White House. He stands a very good chance of being President one day.

He has great potential. A little to liberal for my liking, though.
