Ya! All you have to do is plug your iPod into your computer and open itunes. Do NOT update the ipod. In itunes 7/ up, under summary you can choose "enable for disk use." Do this and wait a second or 2. Click the eject button next to the ipod icon and unplug your iPod. plug it back in, then go to "my computer."
Your iPod will show up as whatever you named it with the letter of drive before it (i.e. F:/joey's). double click the drive. Under tools>folder options, choose "view" from the menu at the top. Under 'hidden files/folders" click "show all hidden folders/files'.
a new folder "control" will appear next to the other three. got to this file and select "music." There will be tons of files ( or less depending on how much music you have) with names like F04 and F10. Select all folders and drag the folders into your itunes library. (make sure you have enough room).
If this doesn't work, buy the program "tune transfer." It is very easy to use, so you'll know how.

What you need is iTunes 7.0, The latest. Connect your iPod but be sure that you have it on "MANUALLY MANAGE SONGS". Then just drag and drop songs from your iPod into a folder in the computer. That simple !
