It snows some times in the Australian Alps in the southern tip of
Australia near Canberra. The highest peak in Australia is here Mt.Kosciuszko. Skiing resorts are also in this area. Finally Australia has sent a team to the Winter Olympics since the 1952 games in Oslo Norway.

If there is one thing they can do it is anything. They hosted the Expo, Summer Olympics, it won't be long before they host the World Cup Soccer considering how good there soccer team is, very good. So yes it conceivable that Australia could successfully host a Winter Olympics and truly make it a World Event. The only thing standing in there way is lobbying from Europe. They could prevent them from getting the chance because of the winter season being in different months and the so called quality of snow; lame excuses.

Im an aussie who would LOVE to see the olympics here at anytime but I don't think that we have the falculties.

We send our skelleton team to Canada to train as they have a skelleton track!

And the Aussie slopes would just be too easy for the skiers as every World Record would be broken as that is not always good! We could handle the Aireal Ski comp but then, speed skating, ice hockey.

They would land in Sydney and ask why its so hot when its only 15 dergrees!

And this year, there was hardly any snow anywhere in Aus so it would be a luck thing.

I just don't see it happen!

i think of there is the project with adequate snow? by using fact they have some huge slopes (perisher, thredbo, Charlotte's bypass etc) i understand perisher has a a million/2 pipe yet i dont particularly think of they have adequate space to handle each and all of the various wintry climate activities thinking the dimensions i think of each and every it is ordinary to have adequate space for like one activity each and each. they could ought to build a ice rink and the bobsled and comparable classes. i think of its a rely of ways lots room australia has have been given. its mountains arent particularly that steep the two
