Norton software is notorious for being hard to uninstall. So much so that Norton has developed its own removal tool to uninstall its software. The removal tool can be found on their website at http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039
Download the removal tool. Be sure to read the instructions and then uninstall.
The Norton Removal Tool uninstalls all Norton 2007/2006/2005/2004/2003 products from your computer. Before you continue, make sure that you have the installation CDs or downloaded installation files for any Norton products that you want to reinstall. Also, if you use ACT! or WinFAX, back up those databases and uninstall those products.

If you have the Norton program disk.
The uninstall program for norton must be corrupt.
In your REMOVE programs menu see if there is a repair option next to modify or remove button. if not then do this.
First reinstall it
Then you should be able to uninstall
If you cannot reinstall there might be bad registry.
Download a free regeditor program that may fix bad registy for you.
If that dont work you will have to do it yourself by running regedit.exe
Consult Norton tec support. for what to do next. Remember that running the reg editor you cannot undo an action so be careful .

Honey,
Before you can uninstall Norton you need to disconnect from the
net. That LIve Update will prevent you from removing Norton.
Make sure you remove Norton & Norton Live updade as well.
Don't delete any file because it won't solve the issue.
Good luck,
Joe.

First of all, since you are on the internet, you should have some kind of anti-virus on your computer. If you leave it totally unprotected, you're going to run into problems.
The other way is to find the program files on your computer and delete them.

We had problems with Norton. we eventually had to reformat our hard drive. I suggest you call the manufacturer of the computer you have.
