Im Mexican, and since Mexico is ALSO in America (couse america is not a country but a continent) yes Im proud to be an American

Yes I am, I am a soldier here at Fort Knox. I love being a soldier and an american. Americans need to have high pride in themselves, each other and their country!! Always help and support fellow americans.

Should I be an american, I would be ashamed and fearful, having that president, those institutions, and people asking if other people is proud of being from where they are? Yuk

I feel Lucky to be an American, but I wouldn't say I'm proud enough to flaunt it, say... in Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, or Iraq.

It is more pride in what my ancestors went through to get here, make an independent nation here, build communities and infrastructure here, and become part of the culture here. I am nothing without all the risks and hard work my ancestors went through to allow me to be an American. I would almost say I am ashamed of what little effort it has been for me to be an American, compared to what those before me had to do.

I never consider such things as pride in nation. God did'nt make nations, men did, so why feel pride in man made boundaries? Man is no different all throughout the world so why look for a reason to say we are different?
