Yes! You don't have to be rude about it. Some people just don't know how foul they smell. Do it in private. tell they exactly what the problem is. Maybe they have an illness or something. You can give a gift basket of hygiene products and then tell them why and then tell them you mean no harm, you just care. They may get mad or embarrassed, but even if they don't tell you, they will appriciate it. Also, don't go looking for a medal, by telling the whole world (other friends, ect) about what you did to help.

Yes, definitely, I would pull them to the side, or another room, and tell them nicely. Because sometime people live alone or get used to their own scent, and really do not know how they smell. I have a friend that always took a bath, even while I was waiting for her to get dressed, I knew she was bathing. But she always stunk, so I asked her one day, what kind of deodorant you use and what kind of soap, I said it politely of course. Then I suggested another deodorant and another soap, told her that was what I used, and to this day, she smell delicious. So by telling them you are helping them. Believe or not some people don't know how to take a bath, or know that some soaps make not be suitable for you depending on the chemicals, like sweet soaps leave you stinking because they do not clean the bad odor on your body. Good luck, and Merry Christmas.

I would tell them, but in a nice way. Make sure u don't go, "Hey u have a hygiene problem." Say it gently and kindly. And tell them that the hygiene problem won't affect your friendship because you like them for who they are. Good Luck! :-)

Maybe not "straight out" but I would tell them because that is what friends do... We care and are honest with each other. If you are rude to the person then you are not being a friend at all. But if you tell them in a loving, kind manner then you are being a great friend by telling him/her. Good luck and God bless!

Of course its my friend i would definatly tell them...i use to have this friend she smelled literally like cat litter! we were in 6th grade at that time now im in 8th but anyway...dis guy from my class wrote her a letter saying that she stunk and she should use some deoderant he actually bought febreeze from home and sprayed it aroudn her i could tell she was pretty embarressed so basically u dont want to make it so obvious liek telling her to use deoderant just tell her that she should basically use deoderant tell her nicely of course or else it could be overpowering! but dese types of problems are very hard to deal with and tell the other person without sounding rude or meen at the same time!

Yes, because it is your friend and it is better hearing it from you than from a stranger, or hear people talking about them.
