To the good Rev. I am not bartering thumbs up, I am just working on making people maybe laugh or have a little smile. I like your point...just hope you can see mine.

I give people thumbs up if they ask an honest question, an honest (and polite) answer, or present an idea that seems especially good. I don't generally give a thumbs up - and I've never asked anyone to give me one. Thumbs ups should be earned, not bartered.
If someone gives me one, I'd like to think it was earned, or I gave an answer that meant something to someone....
