I organize notebooks, I make sure everything is ready each day and I hardly ever have late homework. Sometimes when a worksheet looks messy, I start all over. Could it be OCD or is just being stupidly paranoid?

It is more likely you have OCPD than OCD. OCPD stands for obsessive compulsive personality disorder than OCD. Everyone is not a carbon copy of the next person. Personality disorders - which are not disorders per se - are just idiosyncrasies everyone has. OCD is a psychotic disorder which is many times more serious than OCPD. People with OCD have an irrational way of thinking. For example, in the movie "As Good As It Gets," Jack Nicholson plays a writer with OCD. His character can't work on any street with a crack on it. In addition, when he washes his hands, he takes one bar of soap lathers it once on his hands then chucks it in to the trash can and he starts all over again with another bar - and he continues to do so until he has used exactly 10 bars of soap. He refuses to touch any doorknobs out of fear they have germs on them. He carries all of his own personal utensils when eating out.

You seem to just be tidy and organized. Your thinking is not irrational. You having the insight to think your behavior might be odd is a sign that you do not have OCD. People with OCD don't have this form of insight and many times they don't think what they do is odd.

Do you accomplish the reports ? or are they not turned in because they are still messy ?
If you do things and get tasks done, then you are OK,
however, if you don't do anything but organize and tasks still often don't get finished then you may be OCD.

Sounds to me like you take pride in your work!

It only becomes OCD if the behavior interferes with your life. Relax, you are fine!
