what happened to the dream we were sold as children? whereby machines would take over and by the 21st century we would only work 3 hours a day.

I feel angry and ripped off !! why are people still working like 20th century people & what shall we do about it to stop it?

Great minds think alike!! i only mentioned this the other day!
Calculate the hours you will have worked after leaving school until you retire (which will soon be 90) then take a look back at what you will probably have a house thats just about paid for and a 4 year old car!! INDUSTRIAL PROSTITUTES Thats all we are, have a nice day.

LOL. I wish I could work 8 hours a day. Try 12-15 hours a day and you'd be much closer.
In answer to your edit, I wouldn't rather have it that way because I like earning money so my family and I can make our lives a bit more comfortable.
I get 2 days a week off to chill out and do whatever I want to and that's plenty.

Check out European countries on the web, lot of them only have 3 or 4 day work weeks! And they are less than 8 hours. A lot of them also have FREE healthcare! Yeah, we definitly got bamboozeled by the promise of computers doing all the word for us*L*. I might think of moving to Europe.

Hey lets open our own company building these machines...
And lets only open up for three hours a day like we were told years ago..
And if we did that, we wouldnt get enough machines built for the entire world too quickly either which means we wouldnt run out of things to do too quick either...

waddaythink?? did i win?

who sold you your dreams?
You did get ripped off!!!! dreams are free!!!!!
Spoiled and lazy are ya?
Well ponder this one....Who is going to make the money if we don't work.... our machines? If so, then who is going to pay the machines? Who is going to fix the machines???? And who will design the machines? Working people at work....that's who.
Yeah work sucks, but at least you get to be a productive part of society instead of a lazy blob staring at a screen.

8 hours a day? Try 10-12 hours a day, if you're lucky.

Balls to that. Get a job as a lolipop man. They don't start work until they're 65 and you only work about an hour a day.

Machines have taken over many of our duties. Which is why I can sit here at work and respond to your question.
