Okay, I don't know what to believe. I was saved when I was 13 and I really believed in God and had no doubt that he was real. Now I question if he is real or not. What if he is real and I have questioned it, will I go to hell if it is real? This might be a stupid question but I just wonder.

Who wrote the bible? It has been translated and added on to so much that you know everything in there isn't true. It could have been based off of something true but it has been so streached now that it is impossible. I think it is just written to keep the world from being tottally out of control. The people that believe don't do bad things and the people that don't do. Thats why "Christians" try to force their beliefs on you. To get everyone to believe and no one would do anything wrong. It's just so far out there that its hard to believe it. I'm not asking about the bible I want to know about god, before everything about him got so exaggerated, if he is real.

Someone on here said that questioning is a sin and all sinners go to hell. Everyone sins including the person who wrote that, so does everyone go to hell. If it is all real I don't think everyone goes to hell.

No one can tell you what to believe- you either do or you don't. You can question and you can doubt and I don't believe you'll be sent to hell if God does exist (personally, I don't)
God is supposed to everywhere and everything. What I advise people to do is go somewhere that they can be completely alone and uninterupted for an hour or so. This place must be quiet. Meditate on what you feel inside. You'll usually find a lot of yourself (you id, ego, and superego will probably talk to you) but you can also feel influences outside of yourself. If you feel a presense, reach out to it. It may be God, and it could be that he is real to you. It could be that it is a Goddess, and you will have to explore if it's just a feminization of the God you believe in or something else entirely. Or you could be complete within yourself (which is what I found)
I believe you should only focus on the higher power that is real to you.

Which God, if you are referring to the God of the Bible: Its ok to ask questions first of all. you have to ask yourself if you really did indeed believe when you were 13. What has caused you to question God now? The Bible says without faith its impossible to please God. So in your unbelief it is in itself a sin and all sinners will go to hell, there is a hell. Might I suggest www.bible.com it has great insight on salvation, why we believe and the purpose and strength of faith. When you continually search and study the Bible you will gain deeper understanding

I think the verse Neutron is referring to is 2 Timothy 3:16:
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"
It reads that scripture is given by inspiration of God, not that the Bible is given by inspiration of God. Somewhere along the way, humans had to decide what was divinely inspired and what wasn't. If the word "Bible" is in the Bible, I'd like to know where.
I think your doubts are reasonable, and there are undoubtedly many, many sources of information about spirituality on the 'net, and there are probably worse places to begin looking than at Beliefnet.

God is who He is and He's not what anyone "thinks" He is. He is so much and so powerful that most people can only perceive a portion of what He is. And once they get their mind wrapped around what they think is true, something happens to change that notion. I happen to be a Christian who doesn't believe in forcing my faith on others but I will tell you that I believe Jesus is the ultimate example of what God is that we small-minded humans can relate to. Living our lives like Jesus - loving even our enemies, forgiving every time, caring for those in need, is to me the best way to be as close to God as possible.

As been said the Bible IS true,and if you get resaved then you will not go to Hell.The devil is making you
question,and not just questioning that will make you go to Hell. It's not doing God's will that will send you to Hell.Remember God is real and He loves all!!!!!!!

You will not go to hell because you question whether God is real.
Ask God to reveal Himself to you in a way that you can relate to Him on a personal level. If you are sincere, I have no doubt that He will do so. Seek Him by reading His Word. He is always ready to meet His children more than halfway. Talk to Him.

i heard an interesting answer a long time ago, but i still remember cause i liked it. let's say that He doesn't exist. he never existed, but you believe. so what? but let's say that he is real and you don't believe. then what? noone can give you a wright question cause noone knows. it's just if you're able to believe without looking for answers.can u do it? to be onest, i really admire those who can.i was saved too 6 years ago. it was a miracle. i tryed and i'm still trying to believe, but it's hard. right now, i just don't know what i believe.
