Since the 4.5L V8 doesn't have a timing belt, I wouldn't worry about that. If the timing chain broke, it would turn over really easy and might be noisy. Like was mentioned, you probably are not getting spark. You can pick up a very inexpensive spark tester and check for spark. If you are not getting spark, it could be the coil or the module.

there is a problem with the distributor gear on these cars the cam berrings cause the distribator gear to wear out

Bad timing belt or broken timing belt.

It's not getting spark- spark plug or spark plug wire or bad coil.
