i was looking for a song and it came in 3 formats CD 7" and MAXI what is MAXI

The only MAXI description I know is:
Maxi-Single - An extended single with two or more tracks, somewhere between a single and an EP. Tends to focus more on remixes and extended versions of the main track.

A maxi is a 12" vinyl single with 3 or 4 tracks.
