One way I have read about, but not tried, is to make a photocopy of the drawing, then put the copy (print side down) on the wood and press it with an iron (for doing clothes). This will transfer the toner to the wood, but the image will be reversed left-to-right. What I do is use old-fashioned carbon paper. I found some in a woodworking catalog, either Lee Valley or Woodcraft, I think, that's larger than the usual 8-1/2 x 11, so I can copy fairly large drawings. You might also make a pencil tracing on plain paper, then put the tracing pencil-side-down on the wood and rub it hard. That's sort of a "poor man's carbon" copy.
